Hello and welcome – my name is Barbora, I am integrative therapist with a range of experience in different areas specialising in depression, trauma informed practice and addictions. I work with adults and young people age 15+. I am also trained Health care professional with years of experience within critical care setting in NHS hospital environment. Having completely transformed my life through my own personal journey in therapy, I would like to help others benefit from this incredible experience of growth, self-discovery and healing to improve their lives for the better.
When creating a plan for my clients, I take a holistic approach to make an individual tailored plan to meet their specific needs and goals. This plan naturally evolves and adapts overtime as we progress through the healing process.
I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds, coming to me with a diverse range of problems. As a fully qualified counsellor, I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and abide by their Ethical Framework.
Making the decision to start a therapy is a big step to take, but it can be the most important one facilitating the change and forward movement.
Being an integrative therapist allows me to use a variety of tools and techniques including creative medias like clay, colours, shells as well as breath work, meditation and movement to allow expression beyond words. This helps to deepen the experience of therapy and allows us to see world through various lenses, adding different perspectives.
My knowledge as a health care professional in combination with my counselling knowledge and skills gives me wide range of ethical and moral qualities to be able to adhere to professional standards, work within BACP framework, ability to recognise and respond appropriately when I have reached my limits of proficiency, demonstrating my commitment to clients and good practice at all times.
All sessions are 50 minutes in length. For continuity sessions will ideally be held weekly/fortnightly on the same day and time. I offer both daytime and evening sessions but offer flexibility according to your needs .
The relationship between client and therapist is the major catalyst for a change. I therefore offer one initial free consultation, to find out if we can work together effectively. During this consultation, we will explore the reasons for seeking counselling and how you would like me to help you. Fees will be discussed and negotiated depending on individual circumstances during the initial session.
